A big town on the M1
Northampton is one of England’s largest towns, with the M1 running along its western side at junctions 15, 15A and 16. That makes it a straightforward place for our collectors to reach, whether the car is in the centre or out on the eastern estates.
Since 2021 the town has been run by West Northamptonshire Council, which took over from the old borough and county councils. If you have old letters about an untaxed or abandoned vehicle, they may carry either name.
Estates, ring roads and where cars end up
Much of Northampton’s housing was built as planned estates from the 1970s onwards, around Weston Favell, Lings, Hunsbury and Grange Park. Cars that have sat on a drive or in a garage block for months are common here, often with flat tyres or a flat battery. Neither stops a collection: tell us what state the car is in and we bring a vehicle that can winch it.
The A45 and the A43 carry most traffic around the town, with the A5076 and A508 linking the estates. We work around the school run and the busy Nene Valley Way if you ask us to.
What to have ready
Keep the V5C log book to hand if you have it, plus the keys and any spare. If the log book is lost, the car can still be scrapped; you’ll just tell DVLA by post rather than online. We’ll walk you through it.
